Those Burning Words

What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
Here rests a scalding soul
And his burning words
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
I shall come in a beautiful line
Of a cicada’s riot
Sing a song of spending my breath
While dancing in the sun bath
I shall leave with melted snow
On a hot spring night
Tell a tale of wilderness spread
Beneath that immortal grass
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
I shall hold on tight to your body
At the end of time
Though the house crashes
When a room of camellias crammed
I shall rot in the vastest land
With beasts by my side
The flowers of nature blooming
Between my bones and flesh
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
I shall be the appendix
Of my gorgeous shade
Like the violin in black case
To only come out when darkness fades
I shall play tremendous music
Which people call melodious
And rest myself in silence
When no light exists
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
I shall dip my spoon in the galaxy
And sip on the soup of fantasy
With stars as starters
and the moon as delicacy
I shall take a full bite
On the sizzling beach
Which god is decocting
Regardless of any preaching
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
I shall take time to get mad
And take time to laugh
Devote a whole lifetime
To lite up that terminal lamp
I shall seize the moment
To get myself decent
For life is fire
That can vanish in a second
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
I pray beside the oven
To myself up in the heaven
I curse in the cell
To myself down in the hell
Let me go
Set me free
Why my enemy is always me
What I cannot gain in this life
I will write on my epitaph
Here rests a scalding soul
And his burning words
